Sea Harrier FRS1 painting

Don McDougall recently came across this painting of 2 FRS1 Sea Harriers and is looking to sell it.

It is by the well renowned aviation artist, John Young, of the Guild of Aviation Artists.

In Don's words:

"The painting is oil on board, measures 76cm x 61cm out of the frame. It would probably benefit from a better frame. It is signed bottom right with John's normal signature.. I must admit, I have been unable to work out the location of the land below the planes. There are 2 small marks on the painting, one bottom right and one bottom left that look like the remnants of old sticky paper labels, that I have not attempted to remove as yet. Well, I think that's about all I can tell you. I acquired it at a small local auction, close to where John lived when he painted.

Price wise, I think £500 would be a fair price for one of John Young's works, but there may be a little bit of negotiation !"
