Mongolia here we come!

Published: 22 Jul 2013

The day has finally arrived for three intrepid Royal Navy sailors who are setting off on a journey of a lifetime in their Nissan Micra.

Lieutenants Will Scown and John Ford along with Chief Petty Officer Adam Marshall are set to drive more than 10000 miles across two continents from their base at Royal Naval Air Station Culdrose in Cornwall to Ulan Bator the capital of Mongolia.

Seeing the Adventurers off with a chequered flag from the Base was Captain Mark Garratt Commanding Officer and Commander Peter Munro-Lott.

“It’s been months of hard work and planning from everyone involved; it’s brilliant to finally be setting off” said Will Scown. “We can’t wait for all the challenges that lie ahead!”

The Navy Team are fund raising for Royal Navy Royal Marines Charity, Operation Smile, and Heel and Toe. The website if they want to donate is www.mongkes-fist.co.uk/donate.
