Help wanted - HMS Belfast

John Blake has been commissioned by Bloomsbury Publishers to write a book on HMS Belfast, although the intention is to achieve a different approach from previous books; one that is more personal and relates to her concept, construction, routine and operation.

I would be immensely grateful, therefore, if any FAAOA members, or any of their friends or relatives, may know of anecdotal stories about her, or were personally involved with her, or indeed have any relative who was?  This could also include old papers (e.g. perhaps a copy of Daily Orders, a commission book or journal or a memo or signal) - anything that can add a personal touch or hopefully include her early years when first launched and commissioned in 1939, as well as her inception, design and construction previous to that.

It would be wonderfully helpful in my task and an important contribution to her story for posterity.
