Treasurer wanted

After 20 years sterling service the honorary treasurer, Chris Walliker, is hanging up his abacus at the 2015 Annual General Meeting. 

The Committee is looking to find a successor and the new Treasurer should ideally be: 

A qualified accountant versed in computer technology. 

He/She will be responsible for keeping appropriate records for all financial transactions, preparing forecasts and reports to the Committee, preparing the annual accounts and submitting quarterly VAT returns to HMRC. 

Have knowledge of the Sage Instant Accounts software programme and an awareness of Corporation Tax would be useful. 

The current Treasurer has a close association with Rathbones who manage the investments portfolio. 

On average, these duties can be carried out on a regular basis of 2-3 hours a week and while working from the Association office is not required, attendance at Committee meetings is desired.
