Please see below the details of a funeral this coming Friday, the 26th of July, for a Navy D-Day veteran, Sydney Walsh.

It will take place at Yeovil crematorium, and it would be great to have a good crowd there to see him off in style.

I am the funeral director directing the funeral for the late Sydney Walsh at the above time and date. Sydney was 97 at the time of his passing.
Sydney was a Navy Veteran who served in many battles including the D-Day landings. He has an honourable display of medals for his galant efforts for our freedom today.
Due to limited family attendance, Sydney’s family has asked me to see if any serving personnel or veterans wish to attend his funeral in his honour. I have taken it upon myself to publicise this notice.
We kindly have 3 standard bearers and a bugle player for the last post to give this great man the service he earned.
