RNAS Culdrose & Father Christmas

Published: 14 Dec 2022
We helped raise a Christmas cheer from children on Monday by visiting schools with Father Christmas.
Two crews from 820 Naval Air Squadron dropped in on schools in their Merlin Mk2 maritime patrol helicopter.
Pictured are pupils at Landewednack Primary School in The Lizard.
They also visited schools at St Keverne, Coverack, Ludgvan and Sennen.
Captain Stuart Irwin, the commanding officer of RNAS Culdrose said: “This is the first time we’ve done something like this for a few years now and we’re delighting to be able to bring a smile to children at this festive time. It’s also our way of saying thank for all the support we receive from the wonderful community here in west Cornwall.”
