On this day 1 August 1972, 767 Squadron disbanded at RNAS Yeovilton. The squadron had been training Phantom FG.1 crews for the 892 Squadron.
Personnel from the training unit were detached to the Phantom Operational Conversion Unit at RAF Leuchars.
