An unforgettable moment for Lt Cdr Allison who was congratulated by the Commanding Officer of RNAS Yeovilton after passing his 8,000 flying hour mark in an iconic Fairey Swordfish on Fri 19 May. 
To put that into context 8,000 hours is equivalent to watching Top Gun roughly 4,404 times!
The occasion was marked by a very special aircraft, the Fairey Swordfish owned by Navy Wings, a historic aircraft charity based at RNAS Yeovilton.
Certainly, one of the memorable moments for Lt Cdr Allison’s long and outstanding 39 year career.
