CHF Coronation Participation

Coronation participation
 
On the ground at today’s coronation the Commando Helicopter Force had three participants. Inside Westminster Abbey Petty Officer Amy Taylor carried the Sword of Offering. On parade outside the Abbey were Able Seaman Carly Findlay and Air Engineering Technician Amy McLenaghan.
 
Meanwhile two Commando Merlins and a Commando Wildcat from the Commando Helicopter Force took part in the coronation flypast. 845 and 846 Naval Air Squadrons each had aparticipating Merlin and 847 Naval Air Squadron a Wildcat. The crews were:

Behind the scenes and away from the cameras numerous CHF personnel were enablers. Aircraft engineers, aircraft handlers, survival equipment specialists, chefs, drivers, mechanics, fuel operators, logisticians, administrators and others, ensured the helicopters and their crews were able to carry out their duties and roles.
