5000 hours!

Members of 824 Naval Air Squadron were on hand to congratulate instructor Lt Cdr Dave “DT” Thomas (pictured right) who clocked up his 5000th flying hour yesterday.
Squadron commanding officer Cdr Chris Jones (left) said: “It is a remarkable achievement and testament to his distinguished career,” adding that Lt Cdr Thomas was a true stalwart of the Fleet Air Arm and Merlin Helicopter Force.
He'd reached the milestone during a student training sortie (where he was teaching theson of another of the squadron’s instructors) and said he was looking forward to being on tomorrow’s flying programme too.
