Fleet Air Arm Museum
30Jun2012

A major conference entitled 'Falklands 30. The Conflict. The People' will formally start the proceedings surrounding the opening of the Museum's new Falklands exhibition on 30th June.

The conference will be chaired by Rear Admiral Chris Parry, who as Lt Parry, was the Observer in HMS Antrims's Wessex helicopter, which was instrumental in the destruction of the Argentinian submarine Sante Fe. His helicopter, which bears several shrapnel holes from the conflict, will form part of the major exhibition.

Other Falklands War veterans taking part in the conference will include Lt Commander Dave Morgan DSC, Sea Harrier pilot, and Captain Michael Clapp, who was in charge of amphibious warfare throughout the Campaign along with other eminent Falklands airmen who will talk about their experiences and viewpoints on the Campaign.

Conference Tickets, which include participation in the opening ceremony and lunch, cost £40 and are available on the Museum's website
