Dartmouth 1964, Autumn term 50th Reunion weekend

The 50th Reunion for all entries joining the RN in the Autumn term 1964, and specifically those that joined on the  1st November, will take place in Dartmouth on October 31st – 2^nd November 2014; that is if we can achieve a reasonable number of takers to make a weekend of it with the climax being a 4 course dinner in the wardroom at BRNC.

Wives / partners are included of course and the plan is:- 

Friday 30^th Oct 
Gathering at an establishment such as The Floaters where a very informal bar meal will be available.

Saturday 1^st Nov 

 A boat trip up the Dart via Dittisham Lake to Totnes with a return trip on the ‘The River Dart Valley Railway’  planned for the Saturday or Sunday depending on the tides and schedules, followed by cocktails on the quarter deck and a formal dinner in the Wardroom..   

Sunday 2^nd No

Church followed by march-past.

BRNC has changed significantly since our days. All the services are run by a commercial  company and special approval is needed to keep the bar open until 0100! Unfortunately, We are sounding out local establishments to provide reasonably priced accommodation with transport to BRNC. But this might prove difficult due to the short notice involved. For those that show interest in attending we will keep them updated. I do not expect that we will have another opportunity to visit our Alma mater.
