Website administrator wanted

The Association is looking for a member to take over the running of the FAAOA website and its associated Facebook and Twitter accounts. 

The job does not need deep specialist knowledge as the website has its own administration area enabling the user to add items and images quickly and easily; however a degree of familiarity with computers and a good broadband connection are essential. A computer is not provided but there is a small payment for the work. Training can be provided. 

The administrator is responsible for: 

carrying out the FAAOA committee’s policy on positive promotion of the Fleet Air Arm, its personnel, equipment, policy and heritage 

updating the FAAOA website, Facebook and Twitter with details of events; news stories obtained from press releases and information coming through the FAAOA office as well as from other FAA related sites. 

adding items and images to the heritage section of the website 

compiling the monthly e-update sent to all members who have registered their email addresses on the website. (The website admin area has all the necessary tools for this) 

maintaining the electronic image library (stored on a USB memory stick and backed up on the FAAOA office computer)
