Supermarket design remembers former Royal Naval Air Station

A new supermarket is being built on the site of former HMS Ringtail also known as RNAS Burscough. 

The Booths store is designed to resemble a WW2 hangar with the new Ringtail Retail Park which has been named in recognition of the history and heritage of HMS Ringtail.

There is a monument, dedicated in 2004, to HMS Ringtail on the proposed site and as part of the development, a memorial garden for the monument is being created in a fully accessible, safer and more prominent position.
