First landing by a jet aircraft on a carrier

Lt Cdr Brown/Sea Vampire/HMS Ocean Lieutenant Commander Eric (Winkle) Brown becomes the first pilot to land a purely jet propelled aircraft on the deck of an aircraft carrier when he touches down on the light fleet carrier HMS Ocean in a modified 540mph Vampire.
