Discover the fascinating history of hospital ships. Nicci Pugh, who served throughout the Falklands War as a Naval Nursing Sister, traces their development from the 17th century to the present day. Learn about the rapid medical and technical advances following the end of the World War II, the significance of the introduction of the helicopter for casualty evacuation, and a look to the future with today’s state-of-the-art vessels.
