Lynx End of an Era Events

You may be aware that the long-serving, trusted and venerable RN Lynx helicopter is shortly to reach its Out-of-Service date on 31 Mar 17.  815 NAS, the last remaining RN Squadron to operate the Lynx, is organising a series of events in March whereby we aim to celebrate the life of this unique and special aircraft.  These events are as follows:

Fri 10 Mar           Homecoming of 208 Flight (final Lynx Flight embarked) disembarking HMS PORTLAND to 815 NAS

Fri 17 Mar           Flypast around the SW of England (details of times and locations to be promulgated via the 815 NAS FB page)

Thur 23 Mar        Formal Lynx Decommissioning Parade

Thur 30 Mar        ‘Farewell Lynx’ Hangar Party

People are welcome to apply to attend the formal Decommissioning Parade on 23 Mar, however places are very limited.  For those interested in saying goodbye in a more informal manner, you are welcome to attend the Hangar Party.  Both events will take place at 815 NAS, RNAS Yeovilton.   Applications to attend the Decommissioning Parade are to be made via email to Lt George Thompson RN ([email protected]) and tickets to the Hangar Party can be purchased online via the website link here:  buytickets.at/815farewelllynxhangarparty
