FROM FLYING TIGER TO FALLING TIGER!

Published: 24 Aug 2016

On 22nd August ‘Flying Tiger’ Lei Parsons from Royal Naval Air Station Culdrose will attempt to break the world record for the most tandem skydives from 15000 feet.

Lei is a helicopter engineer for 814 Naval Air Squadron which is affectionately known as the ‘Flying Tigers’. His brave record attempt will see him climb to 15000 feet continuously over a 24 hour period. The only way down will be by gritting his teeth and jumping out the door, falling to the ground at 2500 feet per second.

Lei said of his brave venture:

I am nervous about the whole experience, but I am doing this to support Help for Heroes, and the myriad of charities they support, to be there for the brave men and women who have sacrificed almost everything in serving our country.”
