At the closing banquet in the National Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola, FL, Captain Bill McCamy, USN, ret., was inducted into The Golden Eagles. The Golden Eagles is an organization of only 200 Navy/Marine Corps/Coast Guard aviators who, during their tour of active duty were pioneers in the development of new concepts, received special citations for unusual, outstanding performance, and who otherwise warrant special consideration. Captain McCamy participated in the USN/RN Personnel Exchange Program from 1976 to 1979 flying the WASP and served as Flight Commander, HMS Leander during that time."
